Role Description: 

We wish to appoint an independent Project Support Officer during the Development Phase to provide support  to the PCC, Friends, and Lead Consultant in preparation for the Delivery Phase application, monitoring progress during delivery and ensuring that reporting and governance requirements are met. 

Role Purpose: 
  • Advise and contribute as required in the preparation/drafting of documentation needed for the Delivery Phase of the Heritage Fund application

  • Liaise with Project Finance Supervisor and advise and support as necessary in the preparation of Cash Flow and payment schedules

  • Ensure compliance with Heritage Fund reporting and other requirements

  • Liaise with the Lead Consultant, Friends, PCC and others involved in the project as necessary

Role Description: 

The appointed consultant will act as Project Manager and Contract Administrator, working closely with the PCC, Friends and the appointed main contractor.

Role Purpose: 
  • Support during the Development Phase including updating specifications as required and updating costs with the approved Contractor
  • Ensuring all permissions are in place and all ecological requirements are met
  • Preparation of detailed Risk Register and Project Timetable to accompany the Delivery Phase Application
  • Acting as Contract Administrator under the chosen building contract (likely JCT Minor Works with Contractor’s Design or equivalent)
  • Overall project management and coordination
  • Chairing site meetings and providing regular progress reports to the PCC, Friends and funders
  • Liaising with conservation professionals or statutory authorities if required
  • Monitoring quality, timetable, budget and certifying payments
  • Ensuring that works comply with all relevant statutory and heritage consents

Role Description: 

The appointed professional will work collaboratively with the project team but remain independent. Approximately 6 days throughout the Development Phase and 10 days throughout the Delivery Phase

Role Purpose: 

The Evaluator will:

  • Measure and evaluate performance against the Heritage Fund’s approved outcomes
  • Review the project’s proposed outcomes, indicators and outputs
  • Assist in the preparation of a Development Phase Evaluation Plan including an evaluation framework, data collection methods and baseline requirements
  • Support the process of benchmarking and setting of milestones and targets
  • Support or oversee baseline data collection
  • Monitor progress against agreed outcomes

Role Description: 

Grade Church is a small building dating back to the 13th Century for which a complete restoration is planned. Support is required to manage the cash flow for the project and to assist in setting up the systems and documents required to support the delivery stage of an application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Role Purpose: 

Cash Flow Management

  • Prepare a cash flow for the development phase of the Project
  • Prepare a cash flow for the duration of the project to accompany a Delivery Phase application to the Heritage Fund in line with their guidance
  • Provide Income and spending forecasts for 5 years following project completion
  • Liaise to achieve the above with the Lead Consultant, Project Support Officer, Contractor, Grant Providers, Parochial Church Council and Friends of St Ruan and St Grade
  • Prepare and Agree Payment Schedules as required co-ordinating timing of contractor and consultant payments in line with grant drawdown schedules
  • Maintain the cash flow for the project
  • Prepare and submit grant claims, including collation of supporting documentation and proof of payment.

Role Description: 

Heritage, Fundraising and Community Co-ordinator for the Church of St Grada and the Holy Cross.

Grade Church is a small building dating back to the 13th Century for which a complete restoration is planned. We need to ensure the sustainability of the building and its fabric going forward by creating links with other cultural and heritage organisations.  An income stream needs to be secured by maintaining and increasing our visitor base and arranging regular events and exhibitions. This will ensure the ongoing sustainability and maintenance of this historic rural building. Volunteer building and development is another crucial contribution. 

Role Purpose: 
  • Assist with preparation of the Activity Plan during the Development Phase of the project
  • Organise and attend Open Days during the Delivery phase refurbishment works
  • Secure the church’s position as a local heritage venue by creating and maintaining relationships with local heritage and historical societies, museums, archives, schools and community organisations and expand on national links already established.
  • Co-ordinate a programme of annual events, to ensure the church becomes a well-used space within the community.
  • Contribute towards the development and implementation of a sustainable fundraising strategy 
  • Ensure the church is welcoming to visitors including tourists and walkers
  • Liaise with our Digital Creative Director and Developer with regard to interactive and other digital engagement
  • Encourage visits from schools with special provision for children with trails/quizzes etc
  • Liaise with families whose relatives are buried at the church to research further information to be incorporated into a 3D interactive graveyard scan
  • Liaise with environmental organisations for post completion regeneration of the churchyard and byway
  • Build local capacity by developing volunteers and community involvement in the maintenance of the building, environmental activity in the byway and churchyard and hosting of events/activities.
  • Contribute to fundraising and income generation through events, partnerships and small grant applications
  • Maintain regular communication with community groups and stakeholders
  • Keep basic records of finances, volunteer involvement and attendance

Role Description:

To increase Inclusion, Access and Participation a considerable development and expansion of our digital presence is planned.

 

Role Purpose: 
  • Oversee, develop and extend our existing website to follow our digital presence plan
  • Record the restoration
  • Develop an App accessible via a QR code and URL
  • Obtain a domain for the App to reside within and set up base elements
  • Extensive 3D scanning of the church and churchyard to be used by the App
  • Create a Wayfinder to various parts of the church and grounds with direct links to the 3D scan through the App
  • Creation of direct links between the 3D scan and historic facts, timeline of events, consequences on the church etc. accessible through the App
  • Design and develop the functionality of the interactive grave finder App
  • Listing of graves and details linking them to the 3D scan through the App, development of an interface to update information
  • Liaison with Co-Ordinator to expand on data held of those buried in the church
  • Increase inclusion strategies by using Image Titles, Alt Tag Descriptions and Subtitles etc.
  • Creation of interactive trails, quizzes and simple games to encourage children’s interest in the church, its history, architecture and surroundings
  • Create a “Nature at the Church” section on the website with wild animal and plant life illustrated and linked to a 3D scan
  • Link any wildlife camera footage to the website for access through the website and App
